This statistic presents the distribution of Fintech (Financial Technology companies) investment areas worldwide from 2008 to 2013. The term Fintech is used to describe the start-up innovative companies operating in the financial sector, which provide modern technology solutions to financial services companies. It was found that the sectors which attracted most of the investments in Fintech companies in 2013 were payments (28 percent of all Fintech investments) and banking and corporate finance (29 percent).
