The average number of cash withdrawals per card at ATMs in the European Union (EU) from 2010 to 2020 generally decreased with some fluctuation during the period observed. In 2010, the average number of withdrawals amounted to 16.33 per card at ATMs, by 2019, this had fallen to 12.7 withdrawals. In that year, almost 11 billion cash withdrawals were made at ATMs in the European Union.
