House Price Index for existing housing units in Italy 2015-2023, per quarter
The House Price Index (HPI) measures the evolution of market prices of all residential properties that are purchased by households (flats, detached houses, terraced houses, and others), regardless if purchased for own-occupancy or as an investment. Over the period of consideration, the House Price Index for new dwellings in Italy reached the highest level in the second quarter of 2022 at 105.7 and reached its lowest level in the first quarter of 2019 at 96.8. Across the different regions, Trentino South-Tyrol recorded the highest house prices.
