The other main source of revenue for the company was leather products, such as belts and handbags, which accounted for almost 39 percent of the total turnover. In that year, Ferragamo registered a worldwide turnover of approximately 1.35 billion euros.
Footwear as core business

Founded in 1928 in Florence, Ferragamo started as a footwear manufacturer and only later expanded its offer to include other products such as leather accessories and ready-to-wear clothing for men and women. However, footwear remains the company’s main source of revenue and its success still lies in the high-quality leather footwear that it produces. In fact, in 2018, global revenue from footwear amounted to 550 million euros.
