Electricity trade balance in Italy 2011-2020
The balance of electricity trade in Italy was always a negative value, meaning that the value of electricity imports exceeded the one of exports. The greatest gap between imports and exports was reached in 2011, when it amounted to 2.7 billion euros. The gap narrowed between 2018 and 2020, and amounted to 1.3 billion euros in that last year, which was the minimum since at least ten years.
