Across the European Union, 2.3 percent of employees had a precarious job in 2016. That's defined as someone working on a contract not exceeding three months duration. The share of precarious employment is highest in Croatia at 8.4 percent followed by France and Spain with 4.8 and 4.7 percent respectively, according to Eurostat.
