Data for the survey was retrieved on January 23 and focused on people who watched the Super Bowl last year, asking whether they’ve purchased certain alcoholic beverages in the last 30 days. The big winner was Anheuser-Busch, with 12 percent and 9 percent of respondents saying they’ve purchased Bud Light and Budweiser, respectively, in the last 30 days. Michelob ULTRA, also owned by Anheuser-Busch, was ninth on the list with 4.7 percent.
Fans of both teams in the upcoming Super Bowl, the Kansas City Chiefs and San Francisco 49ers, were also fans of both top Budweiser beverages. Fans of the 49ers leaned more favorably to Heineken and Blue Moon when compared to Chiefs fans.
