Over many years, digital integration has been disrupting the global advertising industry, with agencies now betting strongly on online advertising as a means for sustained growth in the future. In the US, digital advertising revenues have experienced the strongest growth among all categories over the last few years and the future is expected to be no different. The share of digital advertising revenue surpassed the 50% milestone in 2017, almost doubling from 2009 levels. Moreover, this trend has inspired the emergence of digital only agencies, with market revenues growing by almost 100% between 2013 and 2018. Return on advertising spending (ROAS) is considered as the primary factor driving this growth of digital media.

In terms of services offered, integrated advertising services are most favored by the clients andaccount for maximum revenue as compared to stand alone services such as media buying, direct marketing, sales promotion and others.
