In a survey on shopping behavior of Singaporeans conducted in May 2019, 80 percent of Singaporean respondents stated that they used their mobile phones when shopping in a physical store. With a mobile internet penetration rate of close to 80 percent, it is thus not surprising that Singaporean shoppers rely on their mobile phones to search for information on the product before making a purchase offline.
