In 2018, most Danish children between 11 and 15 years of age had daily contact with friends online. Regardless of gender, it was more common for the older children to spend time online. Furthermore, girls used more time online, when compared to boys. While 69 percent of the 11-year-old female respondents talked to a friend every day, 89 percent of the 15-year-olds did the same. This was three percent more than the 15-year-old boys.
