Non-hotel facilities and Airbnb listings in Venice

Unlike the hotel facilities, the number of non-hotel facilities in the municipality of Venice rose overall from 2012 to 2019. As of 2019, there were approximately 32.8 thousand non-hotel facilities in the city. In this sense, an important role was undoubtedly played by Airbnb. According to a survey, Venice ranked fourth in the list of Italian cities with the highest number of Airbnb listings as of November 2019. Moreover, data reveal that most of the Airbnb listings of the city were entire homes or apartments as of the survey period.
