According to a survey by Rakuten Insight on online travel agencies (OTA) conducted in June 2023, accommodation booking was the most popular usage of an online travel agency, as chosen by 68 percent of Vietnamese respondents. Furthermore, around 64 percent of participants utilized online travel agencies to purchase flight, train, or bus tickets, marking it as the second most common purpose for engaging with these platforms.
