According to a survey on retail shopping behavior conducted by Rakuten Insight in June 2021, approximately 37 percent of Vietnamese respondents would not go shopping offline as often to avoid crowds for fear of COVID infection. Meanwhile, 26 percent of them reportedly preferred the convenience of online shopping to visit physical stores.
