Leading reasons why shoppers made online purchases Australia 2023

A survey conducted in July 2023 revealed that the topmost reason why Australian consumers shopped online was convenience, according to 67 percent of respondents. Other leading drivers included lower prices, free delivery, and discounts, at respectively 48 percent, 46 percent, and 44 percent of surveyed online shoppers. In times of the COVID-19 pandemic, Australian consumers also turned to online shopping for safety reasons.
