According to a survey conducted between 2020 and 2021, almost 50 percent of the population of South Africa consumed cheese in the previous four weeks. The share reached 44 percent in Morocco and 32 percent in Egypt. In contrast, Zambia, Nigeria, Uganda, Kenya, and Burkina Faso were the African countries with the lowest cheese consumption.
