In 2021, the value of private equity investments in Europe in the ICT (information and communications technology) sector accounted for 30.9 percent of all private equity investments combined, making it the leading sector in terms of PE investments. Additionally, private equity investments value in consumer goods and services accounted for 20.2 percent of total private equity investments in Europe.
