The average consumption of diesel fuel in the United States amounted to around 4.02 million barrels per day in October 2022. In the period of consideration, diesel consumption in the country dropped to its lowest points in May and June 2020 as the COVID-19 pandemic severely affected travel and commerce throughout the country.
