In 2017, the number of participants (aged six years and older) in roller skating amounted to approximately 11.58 million. In 2016, 51 percent of Hispanic-Americans, aged between 13 and 17, participated in outdoor recreation. Participation of Hispanics over 45 was much lower at just 45 percent. Participation of Caucasion-Americans was similar, with 62 percent of 13 to 17 years olds and 39 percent of those aged 45 and over, participating in outdoor recreation.

This statistic shows the number of participants in roller skating in the United States from 2006 to 2017. In 2017, the number of participants (aged six years and older) in roller skating amounted to approximately 11.58 million. In 2016, 51 percent of Hispanic-Americans, aged between 13 and 17, participated in outdoor recreation. Participation of Hispanics over 45 was much lower at just 45 percent.
