As of September 2023, Disney-owned college athletics channel ESPNU had approximately 50 million subscribers, whilst ESPN2 had 71 million. Disney acquired 21st Century Fox in early 2019, including among others National Geographic and Fox channels, which combined gave Disney several hundred million additional subscribers.
