M&A activity in Czechia: largest deals in 2023

In 2023, the largest merger and acquisition (M&A) deal in Czechia was made by The Carlyle Group (United States). The Carlyle Group paid 677.2 million euros for a 100 percent stake of the Czech assets of Meopta - Optika. The second-largest M&A deal amounted to 606.2 million euros, the price paid for the acquisition of a 100 percent stake in Sellier & Bellot by Colt CZ Group SE (Czechia).
