Large energy energy suppliers in Great Britain generated roughly 1.25 billion British pounds in profits from energy generation in 2020, slightly up from the previous year. While the loss in the domestic supply segment also improved that year, an aggregated loss of 173 million British pounds was still reported.

The source adds: "Following OVO’s acquisition of SSE’s domestic supply business, the aggregated domestic profit margin for 2020 does not include OVO/SSE’s data. This is because in 2020 OVO did not hold any generation licence and was not legally required to submit a Consolidated Segmental Statement."
