This chart shows the share of French cooking oil or butter according to their region of belonging in 2016. Three quarters of the French declared cooking with oil in the region Provence-Alpes-Côtes d'Azur, while about 60 percent of respondents in Nord-Pas-de-Calais preferred to cook with butter.
