Though it's called Oktoberfest, the big beer festival in Munich, Germany, has already started on Saturday and runs until October 3. On average 7 million liters of beer are poured at the festival, running for 17 days. This could end up generating up to 75.7 million Euros in gross revenue, if you take this year's average beer price for a liter of beer (called Maß in Bavaria) as a basis. The whole festival has loads of other stuff on offer though, such as traditional Bavarian food, merchandise and fairground rides.
