In its first month after release on iOS, the online shooter Fortnite by publisher Epic Games managed to generate 25 million dollars of revenue via mobile in-game payments. Now, after only 90 days of Fortnite on the iPhone, the generated revenue hovers around $100 million with no sign of sales slowing down.
Whilst Epic Games needed 3 months for the run on the $100 million, there is only one iOS game outscoring this achievement. Publisher Supercell’s Clash Royale surpassed the 100 million in only 51 days.
