Big hotel chains such as Accor and Hilton are building the bulk of Europe’s new hotels. The French Accor is the largest hospitality company in Europe and is behind 16% of Europe’s hotel construction. Two American hotel chains, Hilton and Marriott, are each building 12% of new hotels in Europe. Overall, chain hotels are adding rooms at faster speeds than independent hotels in Europe.
