Around 60 percent of Americans believe that President Donald Trump does not respect the country's democratic values and does not act ethically in office. Around 55 percent believe that Trump does not pick good advisers.
These very negative survey responses from late January published by Pew Research Center even precede Trump's disapproval ratings hitting new records in March amid the war in Iran.
Meanwhile, just under half of Americans believe that Trump has the necessary leadership skills and mental fitness to be president. Interestingly, Trump scores best for the appropriate physical fitness aspect, with an even 50/50 split between those who are extremely, very or at least somewhat confident in Trump and those who are not too much or not at all.
