Number of terrorist incidents in India by region 2014-2018
According to the Indian government, there were over 614 terrorist incidents in Jammu and Kashmir compared to 252 incidents in the north-east region of India in 2018. While the north-eastern region in the country saw a consistent drop in insurgency incidents, Jammu and Kashmir, in contrast, had a spurt in violence.
