Between 1909 and 2020, Italy won the Giro d'Italia 68 times, ranking second 65 times and third 70 times. As of the survey period, Belgium and France followed in the ranking, winning the Giro seven times and six times, respectively. In 2020, the British cyclist Tao Geoghegan Hart won the race, giving the UK its second victory since the start of the competition.
