Share of occupied lettable self-storage area in the UK 2011-2021
The occupancy rate on current lettable area in self-storage stores in the United Kingdom (UK) gradually increased from 62.7 percent in 2011 to 83.3 percent in 2021.The impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on self storage businesses was reported as mainly positive by self-storage facility operators which explains the relatively large increase in occupancy rate reported in 2020.
