Ownership of own mobile phone among children in Australia 2020, by age group
According to a 2020 survey on information privacy in Australia, 82 percent of respondents with children aged 15 to 17 years old stated that they had their own mobile phones. In comparison, just nine percent stated their children aged two to five years old had their own mobile phones. In Australia, the average age a child acquires a mobile phone is 13.1 years.
