A survey conducted among Turkish internet users in the third quarter of 2023 revealed the most popular reasons for using social media. According to the results, more than half of the respondents stated that they used social media mainly for keeping in touch with friends and family and reading news stories. The following most popular ground was filling spare time, with 47 percent.
