This statistic shows the quarterly trend in the value of all retail sales excluding automotive fuel in Great Britain from 1st quarter 2015 to 1st quarter 2024. The figures are seasonally adjusted estimates, measured using the Retail Sales Index (RSI) and published in index form with a reference year of 2019 equal to 100. During this period of time the value of retailing sales has generally increased except for the second quarter of 2020 and the first quarter of 2021, mainly due to COVID-19 containment measures. In the first quarter of 2024 sales value registered at an index point of 119.7.
