Energy production from biogas in the European Union (EU) 2013-2021
In 2021, the European Union's primary energy production from biogas amounted to 14.9 million metric tons of oil equivalent. In the period of consideration, figures oscillated, peaking at 16,839 metric kilotons of oil equivalent in 2018. The country with the largest biogas energy production was Germany.
