According to a survey carried out in Mexico from August to September 2021, approximately 22.8 percent of female internet users experienced online harassment in the 12 months preceding the study. it was relatively close to the percentage of male users that reported encountering this type of situations. In addition, among the most common types of cyber harassment to users in the North American country was receiving offensive messages, criticism for physical appearance or socio-economic status or being contacted by false identities.
