When you desperately need to withdraw some cash, a lack of nearby ATMs can prove immensely frustrating. In Moldova, however, this isn’t too much of an issue because it has the highest number of per capita ATMs in the world.
Moldova has experienced an ATM revolution over the course of the past decade and the country now boasts 301 cash machines per 100,000 people. Back in 2004, it had just one tenth the number it has now. Canada has the second highest number of ATMs per 100,000 people at 209 while Portugal rounds off the top three with 190.
