In a 2022 survey of global travelers commissioned by Booking.com, 75 percent of the survey respondents indicated that they would be willing to choose more environmentally friendly modes of transport to get to their destination. On the whole, consumers’ willingness to travel more sustainably is high, as most are open to take sustainable measures such as reducing general waste on future trips and reducing energy consumption. Of the different generations, Generation Z is the most ready to choose environmentally-friendly travel options.
