This year, 214 millon Americans are going to celebrate Independence Day. The majority of them will take to the great outdoors in order to enjoy a barbecue or picnic. Many more will attend fireworks or community celebrations. According to the National Retail Federation, an average person in the U.S. will spend $71.34 on food, with expenditure on food items across the nation amounting to about $6.8 billion.
