Trump vs. Clinton: a year at the polls

While Trump is clearly adept at grabbing the headlines, over the last year, Clinton has almost exclusively been ahead where it matters - in the polls. As the chart below highlights, only in May and July 2016 did Trump surpass Clinton in this test of public voting intention. The most recent published results show Clinton leading at 6.8.
