Frequency of plant-based alternatives consumption in India 2021
According to a survey conducted by Rakuten Insight in November 2021, more than 30 percent of respondents in India said they consumed plant-based alternatives for animal food products several times a week. On the other hand, only 4 percent stated never substituting animal products with plant-based alternatives. This was a reversal from responses recorded in 2019 when the share of animal product consumers outweighed that of vegan food consumers.
