In spite of the rising popularity of online dating in China, blind dating remained as the top choice among the singles who lived in 30 second-tier cities in the country. According to a survey about online dating in China in August 2018, about 68.6 percent of the respondents who lived in the second-tier cities had participated in a blind date event. Around 53 percent of the respondents tried online dating.
