In 2022, smartphone users worldwide spent approximately 110 billion U.S. dollars on mobile gaming apps. This represented around 66 percent of the total global spending on mobile app stores for the year. In comparison, mobile non-gaming apps accounted for around 34 percent of the total spending for the year, generating approximately 57 billion U.S. dollars in gross revenues.
