In a survey of 2019, for the largest part of respondents in Italy, Christmas time meant being together with the family. Moreover, for 24 percent of interviewees Christmas was a period with a magical atmosphere, while 16.5 percent indicated the importance of the religious event as the main meaning of this celebration. However, 12.1 percent of respondents declared that Christmas had no special significance for them.
