Cambridge and Oxford in the United Kingdom are among the most famous and renowned universities in the world, but as our infographic below shows, the UK is far from a two-trick pony when it comes to top-class educational institutions. Of the twenty best universities in Europe, as ranked by The Times, the UK is home to a mighty 40 percent. As well as the number one spot being held by the University of Oxford, in the 2018 ranking, a total of seven from the top ten universities are to be found in the United Kingdom.
