India: economic contribution of eggs

The gross value added from eggs within the livestock sector across India amounted to over 266 billion Indian rupees in fiscal year 2020. This group of products made up over three percent of the economic value in this sector. Livestock products were valued at over seven trillion rupees that year to the country's economy.
