Total renewable energy capacity in Egypt 2012-2022
As of 2022, the total renewable energy capacity in Egypt amounted to 6,322 megawatts. This represented an increase of roughly 1.02 percent from the preceding year. Moreover, a sharp increase in renewable energy capacity could be observed since 2018, while between 2010 and 2017 the capacity remained relatively stable. The significant increase in capacity noticed since 2018 can be interpreted as the country slowly adapting to renewable energy.
