Global World of Warcraft expansion pack 1st day sales 2007-2020
As of November 2020, Shadowlands is the fastest-selling WoW expansion of all time, with more than 3.7 million copies sold in one day. Second-ranked Battle for Azeroth generated 3.4 million first day sales, and Legion, Wrath of the Lich King and Warlords of Draenor have all reached 3.3 million copies sold within the first 24 hours from their releases. Additionally, the release of the Warlords of Draenor expansion pack in the 4th quarter of 2014 brought a substantial spike in the subscriber numbers reaching over ten million in that period.
