The number of employees in the food product manufacturing industry in the United Kingdom decreased by 20,093 employees (-4.9 percent) since the previous year. Nevertheless, the last two years in this industry recorded a significant higher number of employees than the preceding years. The relationship of employer to employee exists when there is an agreement, which may be formal or informal, between an enterprise and a person, normally entered into voluntarily by both parties, whereby the person works for the enterprise in return for remuneration in cash or in kind.
