As of August 2019, the user action that had the highest average acquisition cost across all regions, with the exception of North America, was making an-in app purchase. Across Asia Pacific this cost was valued at 85.95 U.S. dollars, and across North America it was 122.22 U.S. dollars. In comparison, the average cost to acquire an app user who registered with an app or created an account was 1.11 U.S. dollars in the Asian Pacific region, and 3.87 U.S. dollars in North America.
