The number of confirmed Covid-19 deaths in the UK has now reached 43,575 after an extra 25 were reported for the 24 hour period up to 5pm on 28 June. To some degree removing the effects of reporting lags - due to the weekend, for example - the seven day average figure of 117 gives a clearer indicator of where the UK is currently at in the crisis. It is important to note that the date a death is reported on does not necessarily reflect the actual date of death.
