Leading social media usage reasons in Argentina 2022

A survey conducted in the third quarter of 2022 found that around 58.2 percent of internet users in Argentina used social media to stay in touch with friends and family. Reading news stories was the second main reason for using social media for about 48.1 percent of the respondents. Filling up spare time and finding online content like videos were important reasons for 43.2 and 39.9 percent of social media users, respectively.
